As I write this, ApacheCon is almost over. The last sessions are currently running, and the network is about to go down. In this episode, there are several sections.
First, Garrett Rooney speaks about Subversion, and its use in the Apache Software Foundation.
Next, we have a bunch of Apache folks telling us what projects they work on.
Finally, we have Ken Coar, and some other folks on the conference floor, telling us what they thought of the conference.
It’s been a great week, and I’m pretty much exhausted. We hope you enjoyed our conference coverage.
The episode is HERE, and is 18 minutes, and about 9MB.
Day 3 of ApacheCon US 2006. This was the first day with presentations and saw the hackthon room change into the Online Lounge. Today also saw the Apache Sponsorship program announced at the opening plenary. We talked with Alex Karasulu from the Apache Directory project and then Jim Jagielski and Justin Erenkrantz from the board about the Sponsorship program.
The podcast lasts just over 20 minutes and can be found here.
Day 2 of ApacheCon US. Interview with Jean Anderson talking about Apache Derby, the Incubator and Apache Cayenne.
The podcast is just under 25 minutes long (11 M) and is available here.
While in Boston I had the chance to talk with Sally Khudairi. She drew on her large range of experience working with the press to provide some practical advice for individuals and projects to assist with their press interactions. An interesting listen for everyone involved with an open source project.
